Assessment and Engagement Team Leader

Turning Point runs the City and Hackney Recovery Service with Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest and Antidote, supporting local residents concerned about their drug and alcohol use. It is recruiting a Team Leader for the Assessment and Engagement team, the "front end" of the service.

What you would do:

• Manage a busy team of recovery workers who support people into treatment
• Line manage staff and support them to deliver psychosocial interventions
• Make sure people engage well before being allocated to other teams
• Meet regulatory requirements and build partnerships with local and national organisations
• Work closely with managers across the service

What they ask for:

• A proven track record in substance use work and experience supervising a team
• Strong knowledge of the needs of people with substance use issues
• Experience developing and reviewing interventions such as group work
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation and DANOS-compliant practice
• Good communication, IT, numeracy and time management skills

This is a permanent, full-time role of 37 hours per week. The starting salary is £40,057, rising through pay progression to £46,243 per year, including Inner London Weighting of £3,633. Turning Point states 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 27, with an option to buy more, and a structured career pathway.
