Pay Rate: £16.15 per hour

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit an experienced and talented Bank / Relief Chef for Mulberry Court. Located in the heart of Chalfont St Peter close to Gerrards Cross, this small, friendly, and modern care home features 23 boutique-style en-suite bedrooms and a dedicated visitor lounge, offering a warm, homely, and personal environment.
Are you an experienced chef looking for your next challenge without split shifts and anti-social hours? We are offering full autonomy over menu development, giving you the chance to design your own fresh, seasonal menus and cook nutritious, flavoursome meals that our residents will love. You will oversee all kitchen and catering services, manage a small team, and ensure top-tier nutrition, hygiene, and safety standards.
Menu Development & Cooking: Design and create exciting seasonal menus, ensuring high-quality, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for residents (including specialist diets).
Kitchen Management: Oversee all daily kitchen operations, manage stock and budgets effectively, and lead a small catering team.
Resident Engagement: Build strong relationships with residents and their families to understand personal food preferences and elevate the dining experience.
Safety & Standards: Maintain exceptional standards of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and compliance at all times.
Experience & Qualifications: Proven experience working in a professional kitchen, catering for large numbers, with strong menu-planning skills for specialist diets. Holding or working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership (or equivalent) is a great advantage.
Leadership: Experience leading, motivating, and inspiring a team with a positive, collaborative approach.
Personality: Friendly, approachable, and confident in engaging with elderly residents to ensure mealtimes are a daily highlight.
Competitive Pay: £16.15 per hour.
