ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Care Assistant (Nights) at Barchester Healthcare’s Cookridge Court Care Home, you will play a central role in supervising and inspiring a dedicated team of Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will ensure high-quality, dignified care during night shifts while supporting the clinical team in key areas of resident care.
Core Responsibilities:
Night Shift Leadership: Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional person-centred support overnight.
Clinical Support: Assist the clinical team with medication administration, resident assessments, care plans, and regular care reviews.
Resident Wellbeing: Maintain a safe, warm, and supportive environment while strictly respecting the dignity, independence, and preferences of residents.

Requirements & Skills:
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Clinical Knowledge: Demonstrated experience and specific knowledge in clinical care for the elderly.
Leadership Qualities: Strong communication, motivational, and people management skills.
Compassionate Approach: A resident-first mindset dedicated to dignity and individual care needs.
