About Daisy Vale House

Located in the charming village of Thorpe, right on the outskirts of Wakefield and highly accessible from Leeds, Daisy Vale House provides residential support for 16 males and females. The home specializes in caring for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, as well as those navigating communication difficulties, epilepsy, and mental health needs. The team is entirely dedicated to fostering a safe, happy, and welcoming environment that champions independent living.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a compassionate team using personalized approaches to help residents move forward with confidence. You will provide both practical and emotional support, playing a key role in their day-to-day wellbeing and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Support & Personal Care: Assist residents with personal care tasks and daily living activities, promoting choice and independence at all times.
Community & Social Life: Encourage and assist residents to participate in social activities, hobbies, and community life.
Key Worker Duties: Act as a key worker for individual residents, helping them set personal goals, choose their outcomes, and track their progress.
Clinical Collaboration: Assist qualified staff with implementing personalized care plans, updating charts, and maintaining accurate daily notes.
Relationship Building: Develop strong, professional rapport with residents, their families, and your healthcare colleagues.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

Requirements & Traits:

Driving License: A full UK driving license held for a minimum of 2 years is essential.
Approach: A naturally caring, respectful, and patient nature.
Skills: Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a flexible, innovative approach to problem-solving.
Experience: Previous experience in care or support work is desirable, but not essential—comprehensive training is fully provided!
Compliance: Right to work in the UK.
