Kitchen Assistant (Day)

As a Kitchen Assistant (Day), you will ensure smooth daily kitchen operations by supporting food preparation, plating meals, and delivering dining trolleys. You will maintain strict cleaning schedules across all preparation areas, cookware, and utensils to ensure a hygienic dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation, meal plating, and organizing dining trolleys for resident service.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene schedules, including washing up crockery, utensils, and sanitizing prep surfaces.

• Ensure all kitchen activities strictly comply with Food Standards and Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements

• A committed, organized, and reliable approach with a genuine interest in working within a care home environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage tasks under pressure during meal service hours.

• Valid right to work in the UK and ability to commute reliably to Harrogate, UK.
