Salary: £28,557.79 - £32,802.41 Per Annum (CGL points 23 to 28)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a compassionate, dedicated, and child-focused permanent-track Children and Families Worker to join their multidisciplinary team at "The Corner" in Sheffield, co-located with Sheffield Young Carers.
In this vital role, you will support children, young people, and young carers impacted by familial substance misuse. Using a resilience and strengths-based model, you will deliver one-to-one support, whole family interventions, and creative group activities (such as arts, crafts, and games) in a confidential space to reduce risk, build resilience, safeguard vulnerable individuals, and prevent intergenerational trauma.
Holistic & Family Support: Provide comprehensive 1:1, group, and whole-family interventions for young carers and children affected by parental/familial substance misuse.
Think Family Approach: Identify families benefiting from a whole-family approach, negotiating participation, building engagement, and coordinating safety planning.
Safeguarding & Risk Reduction: Identify and respond proactively to potential safeguarding issues, reducing substance-related harm and promoting health, wellbeing, and safety.
Flexible Delivery: Work flexibly across The Corner and Sheffield Young Carers (including occasional evening work when required) to facilitate accessible group sessions and activities.
Experience & Knowledge: Strong understanding of substance misuse issues, the challenges facing young people, and evidence-based treatment practices.
Safeguarding Expertise: Solid knowledge of child and young person safeguarding procedures and the Fraser Competence framework.
Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high personal IT competency, and robust record-keeping abilities.
Requirements: Cooperative team player with strong interpersonal skills. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
Annual Leave: 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing by 1 extra day for each year of service during the first five years (up to 30 days).
