About the Role
We are acting on behalf of Doccla Ltd to recruit an experienced and autonomous Advanced Nurse / Clinical Practitioner (ANP/ACP) to play a critical role in supporting virtual care and remote monitoring solutions.
Doccla is redefining where and how healthcare is delivered, partnering with over 60% of NHS ICBs across the UK (alongside operations in Ireland, France, and the DACH region) to provide hospital-grade virtual wards and remote care at home. In this role, you will use the web-based Doccla platform to provide expert remote clinical care, support remote monitoring teams, and guide patients through early discharge, acute recovery, and long-term condition management.
Key Responsibilities
Autonomous Remote Care: Conduct clinical assessments, history-taking, diagnosis, and treatment planning remotely via telephone and video consultations, utilizing critical thinking to ensure expert patient safety.
Advanced Diagnostics & Prescribing: Safely prescribe medications independently (V300), request and interpret diagnostic tests, and refer patients to specialists or secondary care when clinically necessary.
Long-Term Condition (LTC) Management & Emergency Intervention: Identify and manage chronic illnesses, empower patients to self-manage at home, and prioritize urgent health concerns to initiate rapid emergency care escalations.
Clinical Governance & Collaboration: Maintain accurate electronic patient records, participate in clinical audits, support quality improvement, and provide clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary virtual care team.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Registration & Qualifications: Current UK professional registration (e.g., NMC, HCPC), a degree-level qualification in nursing (or equivalent post-registration award), and a Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.
Experience: Significant post-registration experience working within primary care, demonstrating an ability to practice safely within professional boundaries.
Core Requirements: Current Care Certificate and the right to work in the UK.
Desirable Criteria
Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice.
Prior experience in remote patient monitoring, virtual wards, or working with digital healthcare platforms.
Experience thriving in a fast-paced start-up or rapidly changing environment.
