Are you looking to gain your Swimming Teacher Qualification with zero prior experience required?
Working on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust (LSCT), we are looking for a new cohort of Trainee Swimming Teachers to join our team across South Charnwood, Soar Valley, and Loughborough Leisure Centres. This opportunity is designed to train you from scratch, providing the official STA Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification alongside guaranteed employment options upon successful completion.
You will follow the tried-and-tested Swim England learn-to-swim framework, building confidence and teaching essential, life-saving aquatic skills to children and adults alike.
No Prior Qualifications Needed: You do not need any previous swimming teaching experience or qualifications to apply!
Course Schedule: Training dates run across October (100% attendance is strictly required).
Prerequisites: You must be willing to complete a NRASTC lite qualification, a DBS check (provided and paid for by us), and have access to a computer or tablet to complete coursework.
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Customer Engagement: Use excellent communication and motivational skills to create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
Progress Tracking: Encourage participants to develop their water confidence, working towards full swimming proficiency.
We are looking for an outgoing, enthusiastic "people person" with a passion for swimming and a desire to support their local community.
Swimming Passion: A strong enthusiasm for swimming and a commitment to making lessons accessible for all abilities and backgrounds.
Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage comfortably with students and families.
Technical Readiness: Willingness to complete the mandatory training course, NRASTC lite qualification, and a DBS check, with access to digital devices for coursework.
Financial Package: Competitive qualified hourly rate of £13.50 to £15.00 per hour.
