About the Role
We are partnering with Red Court Care Home in Croydon to find a passionate and creative Assistant Chef on a flexible bank contract. Red Court is dedicated to delivering exceptional person-centred care, supporting independence, and honouring choice to help residents live their best lives.
As an Assistant Chef through Supportive Bridge, you will be part of the magic behind every delicious dish served, using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Use your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Put forward ideas to deliver an exceptional dining experience, helping residents feel right at home.
Train and manage the kitchen team in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food.
Strictly adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, procedures, budgets, and manage orders and deliveries.
Cater for special events and seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties, and resident birthdays.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food, fresh cooking, and delivering high culinary standards.
Experience working in a kitchen environment with a strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen management.
A caring nature, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with the wider care home team.
