About the Role

Want a career in tech without the university debt? We are searching for an ambitious, tech-curious IT Degree Apprentice to join the Head Office team at Lidl.

You don’t need to be a coding expert yet—we hire for attitude and train for skill! Over 41 months, you will work hands-on across core tech departments, earn a competitive salary, and graduate with a full BSc (Hons) degree from Northumbria University with zero tuition fees.

Your 4-Year Journey

• Year 1 (Foundation): Rotate through Tech Support, Infrastructure, and Business Consulting to see how global retail tech works.

• Year 2 & 3 (Specialisation): Step into your chosen pathway: Software Engineering, Network Engineering, or IT Consultancy. You will work with top tools like Python, Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, and SQL.

• Year 4 (Graduation): Complete a work-based final project and step straight into a permanent, high-impact IT Specialist role.

What You Need

• Grades: A minimum of 112 UCAS points from Level 3 qualifications in STEM subjects (A-Levels, BTEC, etc.), plus GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.

• Location: You must live (or be willing to move) within a 1-hour commute of the Surbiton Head Office.

• Eligibility: You must have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years and have the permanent right to work in the UK.

• The Right Attitude: Great time management to balance work and study, a passion for logic and problem-solving, and a desire to learn new technologies.
