The Opportunity
We are partnering with a key client to bring in an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to join a major transformation programme on an initial 6-month contract.
In this role, you will bring strong functional expertise across Workday HCM, with a particular focus on the Talent and Recruiting modules. You will work collaboratively with HR stakeholders, technical teams, and other Workday specialists to ensure the successful delivery, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the platform.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert functional leadership across Workday HCM, focusing heavily on Talent and Recruiting.
Partner with HR and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday solutions.
Support system configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing platform enhancements.
Lead or support workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, and detailed process mapping.
Manage functional issues, defects, and change requests through to successful resolution.
Work closely with integration and technical teams to ensure seamless system functionality.
Support UAT, deployment activities, and post-go-live optimization.
Produce clear functional documentation and provide advice on Workday best practices.
What We’re Looking For
Strong commercial experience operating as a Workday HCM Functional Consultant.
Hands-on configuration and functional experience with Workday Talent and Recruiting modules.
Deep understanding of core HR processes and the wider Workday HCM ecosystem.
Proven experience working across the full project lifecycle, from discovery through to implementation and testing.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and workshop-facilitation skills.
Experience delivering within large-scale enterprise transformation environments.
Desirable: Experience with additional Workday modules, Workday integrations, or holding active Workday certifications.
