Location: Madley Park House Care Home, Madley Way, Witney, Oxfordshire, OX28 1AT
Pay Rate: £13.14 per hour (plus enhancements paid for weekends and/or relevant qualifications)
Shift Times Available: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Bank shifts)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit a friendly and enthusiastic Bank / Relief Kitchen Assistant for Madley Park House. Situated in a quiet location within the thriving market town of Witney with strong local community links, Madley Park House is a warm, welcoming "home from home" offering round-the-clock residential, early-stage dementia, and respite care, complete with fantastic amenities like a hair salon and residents' shop.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will join a passionate and hard-working catering team to help prepare and serve delicious meals, snacks, and drinks. By getting to know our residents and understanding their individual likes and dislikes, you will help ensure that mealtimes are always a much-anticipated highlight of their day.
Food & Snack Preparation: Assist the catering team in preparing and serving nutritious, appealing meals, snacks, and refreshments.
Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain immaculate standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and safety across the kitchen environment.
Resident Engagement: Build friendly relationships with residents, learning their personal food preferences to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly alongside the wider catering and care team to support the daily running of the home's dining services.
Experience: Formal catering experience is not essential as full training is provided (though holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is a great bonus!).
Personality: A positive, "can-do" approach with a genuine passion for cooking and kitchen hygiene.
Communication: Excellent communication skills and confidence in engaging warmly with elderly residents.
Competitive Pay: £13.14 per hour, with higher rates for weekend shifts and relevant qualifications.
