Job Advertisement: Customer Team Member (Food Retail)
Location: 21–23 Main Street, West Linton, EH46 7EE (Candidates must be within a commutable distance)
Job Type: Permanent, Part-Time
Contract Hours: 16 hours per week + regular overtime (Closing shifts from mid-afternoon through to late evening; includes at least 1 weekend shift and in-store bakery duties)
Salary: £13.04 per hour

About the Role
As a Customer Team Member, you will be an essential part of a friendly, fast-moving store team, helping deliver thoughtful and essential service to your local community every day. Whether you're working on the shop floor and tills, operating our in-store bakery, keeping shelves stocked, or assisting with daily store operations, you'll play a key role in making life easier for our customers. (Note: Applicants must be aged 18 or over as this role may involve working before 6:00 AM or after 10:00 PM, or other business-related needs).
Your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering friendly and thoughtful customer service, helping to put things right when needed.
Keeping shelves stocked, checking prices, dates, and stock accuracy to maintain brilliant store standards.
Working hands-on across the shop floor, tills, and in-store bakery to create a great shopping experience.
Promoting Co-op membership and supporting local community initiatives and charities.

About You
Experience: Previous retail experience is not essential! As long as you have a genuine passion for helping people, we'll give you all the training you need.
Availability: Seeking candidates able to cover closing shifts from mid-afternoon through to late evening, including weekend availability.
