Role Description

As a Hospital Porter, you will support both patients and clinical teams by transporting individuals safely between rooms and surgical suites while ensuring that equipment and clinical spaces are prepared and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely to and from individual rooms before and after procedures, offering reassurance throughout.

• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain, clean, and verify the proper functioning of theatre equipment and clinical environments.

• Maintain clear and continuous communication with the surgical and clinical teams to support efficient patient flow.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable and relaxed.

• Good physical fitness and comfort with manual handling tasks, including pushing beds and moving equipment.

• Willingness to undergo a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
