At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Night Nurse (RGN) on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the clinical care team at St Thomas Care Home in Basingstoke.
In this vital nocturnal clinical role, you will take lead responsibility for the physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of residents during night hours. You will exercise professional clinical judgment in a safe, supportive environment—managing medication safely, executing clinical assessments, updating tailored care plans, and leading night care staff to deliver excellence across every shift.
Key Responsibilities
Overnight Clinical Care: Oversee the holistic health needs of residents, delivering person-centered nursing care and addressing clinical developments overnight.
Medication & Governance: Administer medication safely and manage clinical inventory in accordance with Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines and NMC standards.
Care Planning & Compliance: Formulate comprehensive care plans, conduct detailed clinical risk assessments, and maintain compliance with DoLS/MCA and CQC frameworks.
Night Team Leadership: Supervise and guide night care assistants, serving as the lead clinical professional on duty to ensure resident safety and comfort.
Requirements & Qualifications
Professional Registration: Active, unencumbered NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
Clinical Expertise: Up-to-date clinical skills, proven experience in care planning, clinical risk assessments, and medication administration.
Regulatory Knowledge: Sound understanding of statutory and regulatory frameworks, including DoLS/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical standards.
