## The Role: How You Will Make an Impact

As a Regional Maintenance Operative, you will take ownership of the domestic repairs, general property upkeep, and compliance tracking across multiple residential services and specialized schools. Your key responsibilities include:

Repairs & Upkeep: Ensuring all sites are safe, clean, hygienic, in excellent repair, and tailored to the sensitivities and needs of the residents and students.
Grounds Upkeep: Managing and keeping the external grounds of the properties tidy and welcoming.
Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintaining high professional standards of logging maintenance works, undertaking regular safety audits, and ensuring alignment with CQC, Ofsted, and Environmental Health inspection standards.
Project Liaison: Managing minor on-site projects, inspecting contractor work to ensure it meets specifications, and collaborating with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger improvement projects.
Proactive Planning: Independently managing your regional workload and identifying facility improvements that enhance the image, functionality, and comfort for staff, students, and visitors.

Background: A professional trade background is highly preferred, though not strictly essential.
Mobility: The ability to effectively manage time and travel efficiently across the regional patch (Shropshire, Hereford, and Birmingham).
