As a Cleaner / Housekeeper at the Yarls Wood Immigration Removal Centre, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone on site. Through high-quality cleaning and maintenance services, your work directly supports the wellbeing, safety, and daily comfort of residents, staff, and visitors.
General Cleaning: Clean and maintain designated areas including bedrooms, accommodation, offices, medical rooms, kitchens, corridors, storerooms, and communal spaces.
Hygiene Standards: Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and sanitise hard surfaces (desks, tables, walls, doors, skirting boards, showers, and toilets).
Specialist Care: Vacuum carpeted areas, carry out basic stain treatments where required, and manage waste disposal areas.
Safety & Compliance: Follow health and safety procedures closely, use cleaning chemicals safely following training, and keep accurate, up-to-date maintenance records.
