About the Role

As a Residential Senior Carer at Hazel Lodge, you will take a hands-on leadership role in delivering quality, person-centred care and support. You will lead, train, supervise, and delegate duties to a dedicated team of care staff on shift.

Your responsibilities will also include administering and ordering medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessments, and liaising closely with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families while always championing resident dignity and choice.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and delegate duties to the care team during shifts, handling training and supervisions.

• Administer and order medication safely in line with regulatory guidelines.

• Review, update, and manage resident care plans and risk assessments.

• Liaise professionally with healthcare professionals (GPs, district nurses) and resident families.

• Create a warm, welcoming, vibrant, and person-centred environment.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Experience: Previous experience working within a residential care setting.

• Leadership Skills: Proven team leadership abilities and sound decision-making skills to support resident wellbeing.
