This entry-level position offers social working hours, alternate weekends, and comprehensive training through Care UK's internal Catering Academy, making it ideal for those starting or continuing a career in kitchen operations.
In this supporting role, you will work alongside the culinary team to ensure high standards of cleanliness, kitchen hygiene, and food preparation. You will assist with basic produce prep, food storage, and cleaning routines to help maintain an efficient, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with basic food preparation, such as preparing vegetables and making sandwiches.
Maintain kitchen cleanliness, ensure proper hygiene standards, and clean all cooking utensils, pots, and prep areas.
Store dry and perishable produce safely and correctly follow chemical and cleaning material safety protocols.
Requirements
Passionate, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to contribute to resident wellbeing.
Good organizational skills and the ability to carry out instructions from chefs and kitchen management.
