We are partnering with Oak Lodge Care Home in Southampton to find a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Assistant. As a Kitchen Assistant through Supportive Bridge, you will act as the vital, welcoming link between the main kitchen and our residents. You will assist chefs in plating meals, keeping preparation areas spotless, monitoring stock rotation, and helping cater for special events like summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the friendly link between the main kitchen and our residents.
Assist chefs in plating meals, preparing food trolleys, and ensuring all preparation areas are kept clean, tidy, and hygienic.
Monitor stock rotation and comply fully with company policies, COSHH, and HACCP guidelines.
Assist with catering for special events, seasonal celebrations, and community activities within the home.
What We Are Looking For
A genuine passion for food with previous experience working in a kitchen environment.
A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
A warm, communicative nature who understands the importance of high standards and cherishing the little moments with our residents.
