At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we excel at connecting great people with outstanding care teams. We are currently recruiting for both full-time and part-time Support Workers to join the dedicated workforce at Loughshore.

Situated in the beautiful, quiet Jordanstown area on the County Antrim coastline, Loughshore is nestled within pleasant, private grounds that the residents actively help maintain. The home offers residential support for 16 individuals with a primary learning disability diagnosis, people on the autism spectrum, those with physical health needs, and individuals who may present behaviors that challenge.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a core member of this compassionate team, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual care plans, bridging vital emotional encouragement with hands-on daily support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Daily Living Support: Assisting with personal care tasks (including washing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene).
Independence & Engagement: Helping residents reach their full potential, encouraging them to participate in fun social and recreational activities.
Out-and-About: Providing practical assistance and support to attend essential medical appointments.
Health Monitoring: Observing, tracking, and recording physical and emotional well-being, and promptly reporting any changes to senior staff.
Behavioral Support: Confidently managing and de-escalating behaviors that could be challenging using proven, patient techniques.
Domestic Help: Performing light housekeeping tasks (such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes) to keep the home therapeutic and comfortable.

Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent interpersonal skills and a naturally caring, positive disposition.
The ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively within a tight-knit team.
Strong verbal and written English skills for clear communication and accurate record-keeping.
The ability to understand and follow strict policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential—full training will be given!
