We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and evolution of a modern, cloud-based data platform for a large, international organization undergoing significant transformation.
This is a high-impact, strategic role where you will define the data architecture vision, set engineering standards, and shape how data is utilized across the business, ranging from traditional BI reporting to advanced self-serve analytics. You will act as the technical authority for data architecture, working closely with engineering and BI teams to build scalable, efficient, and future-ready solutions.
Define and own the enterprise data architecture strategy and roadmap.
Design scalable data models, pipelines, and cloud storage solutions.
Establish robust architectural frameworks (e.g., data vault, dimensional modeling, medallion architecture).
Lead the design of cloud data platforms leveraging AWS services like Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena.
Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies and tools (e.g., Iceberg, Delta Lake, data observability solutions).
Drive data governance, quality standards, and industry best practices.
Act as a trusted advisor and technical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams.
Proven commercial experience operating as a Data Architect or Enterprise Data Architect.
Strong expertise in advanced data modeling and SQL.
Hands-on experience working with the AWS data stack or comparable cloud environments.
Deep understanding of modern data architectures, including lakehouses, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and compliance standards.
The ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with pragmatic, delivery-focused execution.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across both business and technical domains.
