Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this 1-year, school-based route allows you to earn while you learn, leading to a Level 6 Apprenticeship qualification, Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
You will spend the majority of your time gaining hands-on classroom experience, putting pedagogical theory into practice, and building your confidence under the guidance of experienced mentors.
100% Salaried & Fee-Free: Earn £24,444 while training, with all university fees covered via the apprenticeship pathway.
Triple Qualification: Graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and a Level 6 Apprenticeship.
Practical Classroom Immersion: Teach as an apprentice Chemistry teacher, taking on increased classroom responsibility at a manageable pace.

To be eligible for this Chemistry Teacher Apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following entry requirements:
Degree: An undergraduate degree (2:2 classification or above) completed by the start of the programme. A degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is preferred (or a strong A-Level in Chemistry at Grade C or above).
GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or higher in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
Teaching Status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Work Rights: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
