Salary: £36,225 to £46,575 per annum pro rata (inclusive of comprehensive benefits like pension, 33 days holiday, private healthcare, and free laser eye surgery)
Contract Type: Permanent / Part-Time (27.5 hours per week across 3 days, flexible Tuesday–Friday)

In this supportive, forward-thinking environment, you will play a vital role across the entire ophthalmic surgical pathway, delivering exceptional peri-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out a full range of professional nursing duties, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as an integral member of the operating theatre team.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by providing appropriate surgical instrumentation and equipment.
Manage equipment disposal, decontamination, and sterilization processes while ensuring accurate documentation for full traceability.
Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times while strictly adhering to CQC standards and hospital policies.
Person Specification & Requirements
Qualifications & Registration: Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current, unrestricted NMC or HCPC registration.
Specialist Experience: Minimum of 1 year of ophthalmic surgical theatre experience, supported by a formal qualification in Ophthalmology or Peri-operative care.
Core Skills: Strong computer and IT proficiency (working knowledge of Microsoft Office); deep awareness of the NMC Professional Code of Conduct and CQC regulations.
Compliance: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required.
