About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is thrilled to partner with Avery Healthcare to find a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Chef de Partie for Sonning Gardens Care Home in Reading.
In this vital permanent role, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to lead a talented culinary team. Your focus will be on providing nutritionally balanced, high-quality meals that contribute directly to the health, wellbeing, and happiness of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with residents and department heads to discuss catering needs and accommodate special dietary requirements.
Prepare nutritious food and beverages to an exceptional standard as directed by the Head Chef.
Support cost-effective stock control systems to minimize waste and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Work alongside senior culinary staff to regularly develop and review menus.
About You

Requirements:
Hold a recognized catering qualification (such as City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2, NVQ, or equivalent).
Hold a current Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
Bring a minimum of 1 year of catering experience.
Demonstrate a deep compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality culinary services to elderly residents.
Be adaptable, flexible, and ready to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
