Supportive Bridge Staffing is delighted to partner with Lift Anglesey in recruiting a caring, approachable, and reliable Midday Supervisor to join their team.
In this position, you will play an essential role in ensuring lunchtimes are safe, happy, and well-organized for pupils. Supervised across the dining hall, playgrounds, and shared school areas, children will rely on your presence to foster positive social interactions, manage lunch routines, and maintain a friendly environment where everyone feels safe and included.
Active Supervision: Supervise pupils during their lunch break across dining halls, playgrounds, and communal spaces.
Positive Behaviour Support: Encourage respectful behavior, fair play, and positive peer relationships.
Safety & Hazard Response: Proactively monitor for safety risks, responding calmly and appropriately to minor incidents or concerns.
Tidy & Welcoming Environment: Assist in keeping dining areas clean and tidy, supporting lunchtime play or structured outdoor activities where required.
Child Welfare & Safeguarding: Support the emotional and physical wellbeing of pupils, reporting any pastoral or safeguarding concerns to appropriate staff.
Qualities & Skills:
Calm, patient, caring, and approachable demeanor with children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact warmly with primary school pupils.
Practical initiative and a collaborative team-player attitude.
Genuine commitment to child safety, safeguarding, and equality.
Previous experience in a school environment or midday supervisor role is beneficial but not essential (experience supervising children as a parent or carer is welcomed).
