About the Role

We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Peripatetic Care Assistant to work dedicated night shifts providing regional care cover across multiple Barchester care homes within a 20-mile radius of Nottingham.

In this dynamic and varied regional role, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care where it is needed most. Working overnight, you will monitor care delivery, contribute to resident care planning, record vital observations (such as blood pressure and temperature), and ensure every resident receives meaningful one-to-one companionship and support on every shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel across regional care homes within a 20-mile radius to provide reliable overnight care cover.

• Deliver person-centred personal care, bedtime/morning support, and routine night checks.

• Record vital health observations (temperature, blood pressure, mobility logs) accurately.

• Assist with the care planning process and ensure care standards are consistently met.

• Spend quality one-to-one time with residents, offering comfort and reassurance during night hours.

About You

To join us as a Peripatetic Care Assistant, you will bring:

• Proven care background with a strong understanding of elderly care.

• Valid Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle.

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent qualification/experience) preferred.

• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (ideal).

• Dedicated, empathetic, and adaptable nature suited to moving between different care home environments.
