About the Opportunity

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist neurological and mental healthcare provider for an experienced Associate Specialist Doctor to join a multidisciplinary clinical team based in St Neots.

This is an excellent opportunity for a medical professional with experience in psychiatry and mental health to work within a specialist service supporting individuals with complex neurological and mental health conditions. Working under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care while contributing to service development, clinical governance, and patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric and external assessments for individuals referred to the service under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver personalised care programmes.
Prepare discharge summaries, CPA reports, clinical documentation, and reports for tribunal hearings.
Arrange, review, and act upon clinical investigations and diagnostic test results.
Support physical healthcare by monitoring blood tests, ECGs, and clinical observations.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to effective patient management.
Provide oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings where appropriate.
Participate in clinical governance, audits, research, teaching, and service improvement initiatives.
Deliver training and education to clinical staff.
Participate in the on-call rota and provide cross-cover for medical colleagues during periods of leave.
Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with professional standards.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
Recent appraisal or RITA.
Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Experience working within Mental Health services.
Appropriate clinical experience relevant to psychiatry.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
