Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with community leisure trusts and major operators to connect passionate aquatics professionals with rewarding teaching roles. We are currently recruiting enthusiastic Swimming Teachers to join the team on behalf of Birmingham Community Leisure Trust at Fox Hollies Leisure Centre.
In this rewarding role, you will deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England Learn to Swim framework. Whether teaching babies, pre-schoolers, or older swimmers, your work helps build vital water confidence and life skills, encouraging active and healthy lifestyles across the local community.
What You’ll Do
As a Swimming Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Lesson Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging, safe, and progressive swimming lessons for diverse age groups and abilities following the Swim England framework.
Student Progression: Foster water confidence, safety awareness, and skill development, helping swimmers progress from beginner stages up to competitive levels.
Customer Care: Engage warmly with customers and families, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and friendly environment on the poolside.
Safety & Standards: Maintain rigorous poolside safety standards and adhere to all health and safety policies.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Hold either a STA Qualification/Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or a Swim England Level 2 qualification.
Trainee Options: Not qualified yet? We welcome applicants looking to start a career in swimming teaching; our in-house tutors frequently run training pathways and courses.
Safety Certifications: Holding a valid RLSS UK NPLQ, NRASTC, or STA Safety Award for Teachers is advantageous (free training can be provided if needed).
Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for teaching people of all backgrounds and abilities.
Vetting and Checks
This role requires a DBS check. To make starting easier, we cover the cost of your safeguarding and DBS checks, alongside providing full insurance coverage.
