Location: Endeavour House School & 1 ACE Provision, Ilford, Greater London
Salary: £25,946 - £28,306 per annum (Dependent on Experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM – 4:30 PM; part-time or compressed hours options are also open for discussion!)
Are you ready to help vulnerable young people unlock their passion for learning in a supportive, specialized environment? We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our small, friendly team at Endeavour House School and 1 ACE Provision in Ilford, London.
In this varied and rewarding role, you will support teachers both in our relaxed, focused SEN school setting and locally within our 1 ACE (Another Chance Education) alternative outreach provision. Working within a trauma-informed, therapeutic framework, you will help children with social, emotional, and emerging mental health needs build emotional wellbeing alongside academic success.
Support teachers by assisting in classrooms and out in the community, following a flexible, structured approach.
Work directly with children and young people who struggle in mainstream or formal education settings.
Deliver targeted learning and pastoral support within a trauma-informed, therapeutic practice model.
Foster a calm, relaxed, and inclusive atmosphere where emotional wellbeing and academic achievement walk hand in hand.
Collaborate closely with an experienced leadership team committed to student welfare and mutual respect.
Experience working within a specialist education provision, alternative setting, or a deep passion for making a difference.
Good written, IT, and communication skills, with a natural ability to actively listen and connect with children and colleagues.
Essential requirements: A valid UK driving licence and the Right to Work in the UK.
Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to providing consistency and stability for young people who may have experienced disrupted care.
