Position: Care Leader / Bank Care Leader
Location: Windsor Street Care Centre, Windsor Street, Cheltenham, GL52 2DG (Tucked away on a peaceful residential street in north Cheltenham, close to local amenities with ample parking)
Pay Rate: £15.67 per hour (Monday–Friday) | £16.67 per hour (Weekends)
Contract Type: Bank / Flexible (0 Hours - Bank hours to cover annual leave and sickness as required)

As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are partnering to recruit an experienced and inspiring Bank / Relief Care Leader for Windsor Street Care Centre in Cheltenham. Windsor Street is a modern, purpose-built home offering tailored residential, nursing, dementia, respite, and day care for up to 81 residents in elegant surroundings with a true focus on individual wellbeing.
As our Care Leader, you will lead a small team of carers to deliver outstanding, person-centred care, ensuring our residents experience a real sense of security, dignity, and independence. Supporting the Home Manager, your professionalism, clinical training, and compassionate leadership will guide care plan evaluations and inspire your team to always do their best.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of care assistants, fostering a positive, supportive work environment.
Care Planning & Delivery: Oversee care plans through continuous assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure top-tier resident wellbeing.
Resident & Family Support: Build strong, reassuring relationships with residents and their families, promoting independence and dignity.
Operational Excellence: Use your initiative to resolve problems, manage queries effectively, and support staff inductions and 1-to-1s.
Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience in a residential care setting with an NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or holding NVQ Level 2 with a willingness to study for Level 3). Supervisory experience is a wonderful bonus!
Personality: A positive role model with a natural ability to lead, inspire, and get along with others.
Communication: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a calm, confident approach.
Competitive Pay: £15.67 per hour Mon–Fri, increasing to £16.77 per hour on weekends (£16.67 per hour weekend rate as specified).
