Location: The Arkley Care Home, 140 Barnet Rd, Arkley, Barnet, EN5 3LJ
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience) + £2,000 Welcome Bonus*
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional night visits or weekend work as required)
About the Role
As the Clinical Deputy Manager at the esteemed Arkley Care Home, you will play a pivotal leadership role in overseeing all aspects of nursing care and activities within the home. Drawing on your clinical expertise, you will provide day-to-day guidance to the team, champion resident independence, and ensure the highest standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and assist with all aspects of nursing care and clinical operations within the home.
Lead your team in creating and updating individualized care plans while maintaining clear, accurate, and up-to-date medication records.
Manage rotas efficiently to ensure correct staffing levels are consistently maintained.
Provide day-to-day support, mentorship, and clinical guidance to staff, promoting choice, dignity, and excellence in customer service.
Build lasting relationships with residents, families, and local partners, helping to raise the care home's profile within the community.
What We Are Looking For
A Registered Nurse with a valid NMC PIN and a genuine commitment to the NMC Codes of Conduct and ongoing professional development.
A strong understanding of the positive impact quality nursing care has on residents' lives, championing choice, dignity, and independence.
Up-to-date working knowledge of tissue viability, infection control, and care planning.
Effective communication skills with a natural ability to build honest, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
Strong leadership qualities, excellent time-management skills, and the ability to delegate and prioritize workloads effectively.
