Base Location: Crandon Springs Care Home (Glastonbury Road, Wells, BA5 1WE)
Coverage Area: Wells and surrounding care homes within a 20-mile radius (including Weston-super-Mare, South Bristol, and Bath)
Pay: £16.44 per hour
Hours: 44.00 hours per week (Full-time, Permanent)
Shifts: Mixed (Days and Nights)
About the Role

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are recruiting a full-time Regional Senior Care Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare. Based at Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells, you will provide expert, compassionate care and clinical support across care homes within a 20-mile radius.
In this varied role, you will oversee care shifts, lead person-centered care planning, monitor health indicators (such as blood pressure and temperature), and ensure every resident experiences dignity, respect, and meaningful one-to-one companionship.
Key Responsibilities
Care Leadership & Monitoring: Supervise care delivery on shift, ensuring the highest standards of safety, dignity, and personalized support.
Care Planning & Clinical Checks: Contribute to person-centered care plans and perform routine health monitoring (vital signs, observations).
Medication & Operations: Administer medication safely (where trained) and assist in maintaining regulatory compliance across homes.
Regional Support: Travel flexibly to support designated homes across the region, stepping in to uphold quality standards wherever needed.
Requirements
Qualification: NVQ / SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Essential).
Experience: Proven track record in elderly care with strong knowledge of the wider healthcare sector. Medication administration training is highly preferred.
Mobility: Full UK driving license with access to a personal vehicle (Essential for regional coverage).
Attributes: Dedicated, empathetic, organized, and capable of adapting quickly to different home environments.
