Situated in a stunning rural location near the village of Pontypool, right next to a peaceful nature reserve, Mountain View House offers a beautiful setting with amazing mountain views. The home provides specialist residential support for seven autistic adults. The team is entirely dedicated to empowering residents to live as independently as possible, helping them participate in the activities that bring them genuine fulfillment.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you will provide both practical and emotional support with day-to-day activities, helping residents reach their full potential while promoting independent living.

Your core responsibilities will include:

Personal Care & Routine: Supporting residents with essential daily tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
Daily Living Support: Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, changing bed clothes) and assisting with safe lifting, transferring, and repositioning.
Health & Well-being: Assisting residents to medical appointments, monitoring physical and emotional well-being, and accurately reporting any changes to senior staff.
Social Engagement: Encouraging and facilitating participation in fun social and recreational activities to promote community involvement.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

While previous experience in a similar care role is valuable, it is not essential. We are looking for individuals who display the right values, compassion, and behaviours to make a positive impact.
