About this role
Monzo, the UK digital bank, is hiring a Data Director for its Payments area. The role leads data work on how customers pay and get paid, helping modernise payment systems and supporting Monzo's plans for borderless banking and growth into new markets.
What you would do:
- Lead Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers and Analysts working inside cross-functional product teams
- Work closely with Product, Engineering and Design leaders to shape the payments strategy
- Use analysis to solve difficult, open-ended business problems and drive customer and revenue growth
- Build trusted data foundations so teams can move quickly
What Monzo looks for:
- Senior experience leading data teams
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement
- Comfort working with ambiguity and influencing senior stakeholders
The role can be based in London, Cardiff or remotely in the UK. Base salary is £150,000 to £200,000 plus equity and benefits, and Monzo lists a £1,000 yearly learning budget.
