About the Role
Are you an experienced residential senior carer with an NVQ Level 3 looking for a permanent overnight leadership position that offers high earnings (£16.50/hr across 44 hours/week) and structured responsibilities?
At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a permanent Senior Night Carer on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the care leadership team at Weystone Manor Care Home in Woking.
In this vital nocturnal leadership role, you will lead and support the night care staff—taking responsibility for team supervisions, training, and shift delegations overnight. You will oversee medication administration and ordering, update individualized care plans and risk assessments, and maintain seamless communication with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families, ensuring a safe, quiet, and dignified environment throughout the night.
Key Responsibilities
Night Shift Leadership: Lead, direct, and motivate night care staff, delegating duties effectively and ensuring high care standards overnight.
Medication & Governance: Manage, order, and safely administer medication in full compliance with care home protocols and statutory standards.
Care Planning & Assessment: Conduct clinical risk assessments, regularly update resident care plans, and ensure overnight care needs are met.
Multidisciplinary Liaison: Communicate and liaise with GPs, district nursing services, and family members regarding resident health developments.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience in a residential care setting with demonstrated team leadership and decision-making capabilities.
Clinical Skills: Medication management experience, care plan formulation, and strong night care management skills.
Attributes: Reliable, warm-hearted, compassionate, and comfortable working a full-time night shift schedule.
