About the Role
Take your academic knowledge into the real world with a 12-month industrial placement designing and developing analogue and digital electronics, VHDL, and embedded/low-level software for advanced electronic systems. You will contribute directly to the full engineering lifecycle—from client engagement and hardware design to manufacture and testing.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the full engineering lifecycle, participating in hardware design, development, and manufacturing.
Implement complex signal processing algorithms using VHDL.
Design switch-edge power supplies, work on low-power embedded systems, and develop ruggedized devices for challenging environments.
Assist colleagues in pitching innovative ideas to clients and stakeholders.
Manage multiple technical assignments independently with full support and mentorship from experienced engineers.
Carry out vital research, data collection, and thorough technical analysis.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications):
Academic Background: Must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum of a 2:2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
Technical Passion: A strong grasp of core engineering principles, a collaborative mindset, and an eagerness to tackle complex real-world hardware and software challenges.
Security Note: Due to defense and security regulations, all applicants must achieve at least a Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Higher levels of National Security Vetting may apply where required.
