Salary: £39,959 - £48,117 Per Annum

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a compassionate and ambitious Assistant Ward Manager (Band 6) for their specialist Learning Disability Inpatient Service, supporting individuals across West Yorkshire and Barnsley.
Based at the Nayurally Centre at Lynfield Mount Hospital, you will play a crucial leadership role within an innovative regional partnership service. You will support the Ward Manager with day-to-day operations, provide visible clinical leadership, supervise and develop nursing and support staff, and coordinate person-centred care to ensure the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.
Clinical Leadership & Management: Provide visible leadership, role modelling, and support to the nursing team, deputising for the Ward Manager when required.
Person-Centred Care: Coordinate high-quality, evidence-based care and positive behaviour support plans for individuals with learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Staff Development: Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and support staff, fostering reflective practice, training, and continuous improvement.
Safety & Governance: Ensure compliance with Trust policies, safeguarding protocols, clinical risk management, and incident reporting processes.
Qualifications: Registered Nurse qualification (RMN, RGN, or RNLD) with active NMC registration.
Experience: Proven clinical experience taking charge of a team, participating in multidisciplinary working, conducting risk assessments, and creating/evaluating care plans.
Skills & Knowledge: Excellent communication, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage individuals experiencing complex and severe difficulties.
Requirements: Appropriate UK professional registration and a commitment to maintaining the legal Right to Work in the UK.
