Salary: £13.45 up to £15.02 per hour (dependent on experience)

As a Senior Care Assistant working through our supportive bridge staffing agency at The Kensington, you will take on a vital leadership role in a highly rated, person-centred care community. Known for its dedication to resident independence, choice, and dignity, The Kensington relies on compassionate leaders to guide daily care delivery.
In this role, you will be instrumental in running a unit, inspiring and mentoring your team of Care Assistants, and working closely with nurses to ensure the highest standards of clinical and personal support. Plus, you will receive full training on innovative digital care systems designed to simplify daily tasks and let you focus on what matters most.
Unit Leadership: Take day-to-day responsibility for running a unit, managing shift handovers, and driving a dedicated team of Care Assistants.
Clinical Support: Assist nurses with clinical duties, including observing residents, administering medication, reviewing care plans, and keeping accurate records.
Team Mentorship: Supervise, train, and support new staff members to ensure a welcoming and efficient working environment.
Holistic Care & Communication: Assist residents with personal care needs while building strong, meaningful relationships with residents, families, and external healthcare professionals like GPs and District Nurses.
Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Care (full support provided if needed).
Previous experience in a senior care role with a clear understanding of its rewards and challenges.
Motivated, positive, and equipped with great interpersonal and teamwork skills.
