Position: Permanent Domiciliary Night Care Assistant
Location: Mayott House, Ock Street, Abingdon, OX14 5DH
Pay Rate: £14.89 per hour (with higher weekend pay rates available)
Contract Type: Permanent / 27 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Monday to Friday, working alternate weekends)
As a Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with this leading not-for-profit provider to find an experienced Domiciliary Night Care Assistant for Mayott House in Abingdon.
Situated on Ock Street close to local shops and transport, Mayott House is an Extra Care Housing scheme featuring self-contained apartments where clients live independently with round-the-clock on-site support. Working nights, you will provide reassurance, personal care, and companionship. As the most senior person on site during your shift, you will also take charge of building security and emergency responses while ensuring residents feel safe and secure.
Provide respectful, person-centred personal care and support to clients in their apartments during the night.
Take charge of the night shift, acting as the senior point of contact and managing emergencies safely and calmly.
Maintain wakeful watch over the security, safety, and wellbeing of residents and the scheme.
Build warm, supportive relationships, ensuring residents' dignity and independence are respected at all times.
Experience: Previous experience caring for vulnerable individuals or working in a residential care setting, with the confidence to take charge.
Qualifications: Ideally holding or working towards a Diploma / NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
Attributes: Strong communication skills, natural compassion, a proactive can-do approach, and a cool head in emergency situations.
Competitive Pay: £14.89 per hour with higher rates at weekends.
