Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is delighted to assist our valued client in recruiting an experienced Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Senior Practitioner (NHS AfC: Band 7) to join their team in Norwich, UK. Positioned within the Complex Health Hub, this autonomous yet well-supported role offers a rewarding opportunity to shape and lead mental health care for young people within a prominent acute hospital setting.
In this full-time role (with flexible/compressed working options available), you will lead integrated care planning and person-centred interventions for children and young people up to age 25. You will act as an expert clinical resource across multidisciplinary teams, providing advice on least restrictive practices, managing high-risk cases, and coordinating safe discharges alongside regional health and social care partners.
Role Description
As a Senior CAMHS Practitioner, you will lead mental health care planning, offer expert clinical guidance across hospital wards, and establish effective care pathways with external health and social care agencies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the assessment, care planning, and delivery of person-centred interventions for children and young people with complex mental health needs.
Provide expert advice and support to hospital staff on managing high-risk presentations using least restrictive, compassionate practices.
Collaborate closely with senior clinicians and external system partners (including ICB, Social Care, and specialist trusts) to ensure safe, seamless discharge pathways.
Requirements
Active registration with NMC, HCPC, or Social Work England, supported by relevant post-registration qualifications in CAMHS or complex mental health.
Significant clinical experience at Band 6 level, with demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work proactively and autonomously within an acute hospital environment.

Calculated hourly rate of £25.26 to £28.91 per hour (based on £49,387 - £56,515 per annum across 37.5 hours per week).
