Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Cook to join the catering team at Digby Court in Bourne, Lincolnshire. If you take pride in creating delicious, high-quality meals without the anti-social hours and split shifts of traditional restaurants, we want to hear from you!
Role Overview
Position: Cook
Location: Digby Court, Christopher's Lane, Bourne, PE10 9AZ
Pay Rate: £13.24 per hour (Higher rates of pay at weekends)
Contract Type: Permanent, 16 hours per week (2 days a week)
Shift Pattern: Rolling rota (e.g., Thursday and Friday one week, followed by Saturday and Sunday the next week)
Closing Date: Monday, 31st August 2026
About Digby Court
Located in the Lincolnshire town of Bourne, Digby Court offers compassionate residential and respite care for up to 35 residents. Set in a quiet residential area close to the historic market town centre, the home provides easy access to a comprehensive range of local shops and amenities.
What You Will Be Doing
Preparing and cooking delicious, nutritious meals, snacks, and treats to ensure a wonderful dining experience for our residents.
Getting to know residents and their families to understand and accommodate their personal dietary preferences and specialist needs.
Working collaboratively with a warm, hard-working, and friendly team to ensure high kitchen standards.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, catering for specialist diets, and cooking for large groups.
Qualifications: Holding a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (working towards a Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking or equivalent is a bonus!).
Key Traits: Confident in engaging with elderly residents, enthusiastic, and proud of your culinary standards.
