Anthropic is looking for an Applied AI Engineer in London to join its Beneficial Deployments life sciences team. You will support nonprofits, research institutes, academic medical centres and public funders using Claude to bring treatments to patients with rare and neglected diseases.
What you will do:
- Help partners' trial teams design and review clinical trials, including protocols and statistical analysis plans, and flag enrolment and operational risks
- Build and test tools that help find new uses for approved, often off-patent medicines
- Work inside partner teams alongside their engineers, scientists and clinicians
- Build reusable tools other partners can use
What they ask for:
- Strong engineering skills and experience applying AI to real problems
- Interest in clinical development and life sciences
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Pay stated by the employer: £225,000 to £255,000 a year (annual salary).
Anthropic's page says it does sponsor visas, although it cannot sponsor every role and every candidate; if it makes you an offer it will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa. Staff are expected in the office at least 25% of the time.
