About the Role
Are you an experienced, professional security leader ready to take the next step in your career? Acting as Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are proud to partner with B&M to recruit a dedicated Security Supervisor to join their Profit Protection Team in Edinburgh.
In this field-based role, you will work closely with the Regional Profit Protection Manager to oversee manned guarding, guarantee physical store security, and drive high standards of compliance. You will take ownership of supervising security teams, monitoring performance, and improving security effectiveness across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Team Recruitment & Training: Recruit, induct, train, and mentor Security Officers and Store Detectives.
Performance Management: Lead and manage team productivity, offering continuous coaching, feedback, and support.
Store Audits & Visits: Conduct regular store visits to ensure safety standards are met and deliver targeted training where needed.
Risk Management: Identify and report theft risks, security vulnerabilities, and procedural non-compliance.
Administration & Planning: Manage rotas, complete detailed incident reporting, carry out audits, and support investigations in line with HR policies.
What You Will Bring
Industry Experience: Proven background in retail security, ideally in a supervisory, management, or field-based role.
Leadership Skills: Strong team management abilities with a talent for motivating and developing others.
Loss Prevention Knowledge: Expert understanding of loss prevention and retail security procedures.
Analytical Mindset: The ability to analyze security incidents, spot loss trends, and take proactive action.
Essential Requirements: Excellent communication and organizational skills, a flexible approach to travel and working hours, and a valid UK Driving Licence.
