About this role
Barchester Healthcare is looking for a Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead for Lochduhar Care Home, 1 Blackley Park Road, Dumfries, DG2 9JW. You would work alongside the General Manager, take charge when they are away, and lead a multidisciplinary team so residents enjoy the best possible quality of life. The role is permanent (37.5 hours, days).
What you would do:
- Help keep care standards high through audits, supervised clinical practice and compliance checks
- Motivate and lead the care and nursing team
- Plan and deliver improvements to the home
What Barchester asks for:
- Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration
- A teaching, mentoring or supervision qualification
- Experience managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
- Some HR, budget management and sales and marketing knowledge
- Experience supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship
